Corliss Haslet

Founding partner

Corliss founded the firm after years of representing the larger party, and decided she preferred the other chair.

She handles disputes between the owners of closely held companies and contract cases between businesses, in the Court of Chancery, the Superior Court and in arbitration. Most of her clients are minority members, family shareholders and founders who sold a company and are still waiting to be paid.

She is known for long, careful letters that make a lawsuit unnecessary more often than you'd think.

How Corliss works

She starts with the agreement and the money: who signed what, and where the cash went. The first letter to the other side shows both.

She tells clients early what a case is likely to cost against what it might recover, and revisits the number at every stage.
