Lisette Vanterpool

Associate

Lisette works on the firm's contract and LLC cases and writes or edits every brief that leaves the office.

She came to the law from accounting and still reads a general ledger before a pleading. She builds the document timeline in each case, drafts the motions and argues many of them herself.

She grew up on St. Croix, came to Wilmington for a clerkship after law school, and stayed.

How Lisette works

She turns a box of emails into a single timeline with every date that matters, and sends clients a copy to correct.

Her briefs are short. Judges in busy courts read the first page closely, so that page says what the motion is and why it should be granted.
